Bangladesh University ( English : Bangladesh University) is a private university in Bangladesh. It was founded in 2001. It is located in the Mohammadpur area of the capital Dhaka . Since its inception, the institution has been playing a special role in the higher education of Bangladesh while maintaining the quality of advanced education.

Bangladesh University was established in 2001 under the Kazi Ali Private University Act, 1992. It has been recognized by the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh and its curriculum as well as the program has been approved by the Bangladesh University Grants Commission (UGC). Bangladesh University is approved by the Government of Bangladesh for awarding degrees in various disciplines. They are committed to excellence and innovation in pursuing applied knowledge through world-class professional large Bangladeshi community and research and creative activities aimed at responding to the needs of the world.
Bangladesh University is a prosperous residential campus and sits at the foot of the community and on 6 acres.
The University Library is located on the ground floor of the University Campuses 1 and 5. There are more than 500 students studying in an air-conditioned environment.
