Bangladesh-Hungary relations


Bangladesh-Hungary relations refer to the bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Hungary . Relations between the two countries have been considered cordial, with both countries working to further strengthen them. Neither country has a resident ambassador.

Educational Relations 

Bangladesh and Hungary have been cooperating with each other in the field of education. Hungary has been providing scholarships to Bangladeshi students. Both countries stressed the need for exchange in the education sector. 

Economic Relations 

Bangladesh and Hungary have shown their interest in expanding bilateral economic activities and have taken necessary steps to ensure that. Bangladeshi jute and jute products, leather and leather products, ceramics, pharmaceuticals and readymade garments have been identified as huge potential products in the Hungarian market.  Hungarian businessmen have expressed interest in investing in Bangladesh and sent delegations to explore possible ways to boost bilateral trade and investment between the two countries . 

About immigrants

Immigrants from Bangladesh, along with asylum seekers and others from Asia and Africa, use Hungary as a transit country to reach Western Europe and Scandinavia . Very few people have settled in Hungary. UNHCR used a Bangladeshi family in Hungary to promote multiculturalism and immigration.
