Bangladesh Economic Zone Authority

 

Bangladesh Economic Zone Authority or Beja ( Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority ) Ordinance made by Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority Act 010 and run a public company. The Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA) was officially established on 9 November 2010 in accordance with the provisions of the Bangladesh Economic Zones Act, 2010. Beja is an institution under the Prime Minister's Office . The company is empowered to establish, license, operate, manage and regulate economic zones in Bangladesh.

The purpose of 





The main objective of the bazaar is to accelerate the economic development of the country by establishing economic zones in all potential areas, including backward and backward areas, to encourage industrialization, employment, production and export growth and diversification.  





Description 





The Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA) is governed by a three-tier management structure - the Governing Board, the Executive Board and the BEJA Office or Secretariat. The Governing Board is the supreme authority for overall policy making. The Chairman of the Governing Board is the Hon'ble Prime Minister. Industry , trade , finance , planning , science and information technology , power, energy and mineral resources , communications , labor and employment , agriculture , environment and forests , Post and Telecommunications , Foreign Affairs , Home Affairs , Ministry of Shipping The top representatives of the department are members of the board and the top chamber leaders of the country including the Prime Minister's Office and representatives of the private sector are members of the board.





The Executive Board consists of an Executive Chairman and three Executive Members to oversee the day-to-day operations. All powers and activities exercised by the Executive Board are deemed to be exercised by the Authority. The Beja Department or Secretariat performs all day-to-day activities as directed by the Executive Board. The organizational structure of the organization has the approval of a total of 72 officers and employees.









Economic Regions 





The Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA) is working to build a total of 100 economic zones in Bangladesh.   As part of this, several economic zones have already been established. Mirsarai Economic Zone is the largest economic zone in Bangladesh.
